Rocket League is an online soccer game with cars developed by Psyonix, which is available for all platforms like PS4, PC, Xbox One and Switch. Since its first release in July 2015, it has attracted tons of players around the world and been praised for its gameplay improvements over cars as well as its graphics and overall presentation.

After witnessing the popularity of this game, the developer Psyonix cooperated with the collegiate esports organizer Tespa to hold the collegiate tournament for teams to win a share of $50,000 in scholarships.This event made Rocket League much more popular among college students.
